It looks like another huge fight for UFC 205 in November at Madison Square Garden is in the works.
Former welterweight throne-holder Robbie Lawler is looking to bounce back from his knockout loss in July against rising contender Donald Cerrone, who has found a new home at 170 lbs.
Brett Okamoto of ESPN teased news of the bout saying things are moving in the right direction.
Not official yet … But I’m hearing things are moving quickly in the direction of Lawler vs. Cerrone in NY.

This will be Lawler’s first fight back since losing the title to Tyron Woodley in the first round at UFC 201. It is a bit of a quick turn around for Lawler as well, who has apparently been blowing up Dana White’s phone for a fight.
As for Cerrone, he has looked nothing short of phenomenal at welterweight thus far. Compiling a 3-0 record at 170 since losing to Rafael dos Anjos last December. With his most recent win coming by second-round TKO over gritty veteran Rick Story at UFC 202.
UFC 205 is scheduled for November 12, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. A middleweight bout between Tim Kennedy and Rashad Evans has also been targeted for the blockbuster event.
