UFC Fight Night 111: Underdogs of the Night

Dong Hyun Kim (+270)x1.0u
Simply put, I think this fight is a lot closer than the odds indicate. Kim is a veteran with a really strong grappling game, and he hasn’t shown signs of decline yet. This should be a competitive bout, and I would not be at all surprised to see the Korean pull away with the upset. Whether it is in the form of a slick submission, knockout, or decision victory, I think Kim has a very strong chance, and at +270, the price is right for a play.

Cyril Asker (+295)x0.5u
This is purely a value play, as I believe Asker’s chances of walking away with the win are much greater than the odds indicate. His opponent, Walt Harris, may have a speed and striking advantage, but he’s never been a reliable fighter. In fact, he’s very inconsistent, and usually fades after the first round. If Asker is able to survive the early onslaught, I believe he can take control of this fight. At +295, I am going to circle this selection as a small play.
